DESIGNERS EXPOSED IN MELBOURNE

Designedge – TCF Australia is proud to be supporting a number of talented designers in the upcoming Fashion Exposed event in Melbourne.

This year will see five exciting fashion labels attending under the designedge banner as part of a national series of designer projects

Designers Adam Wore Short Pants, Colour Spirit, Rom Designs, Smax Originals will be supported by the Australian Government TCF Small Business Program. Colin Heaney Art will also participate in the Designedge TCF Australia uncovered showcase exhibition stand.

The designers all have very different philosophies, their collections ranging from the quirky designs of Adam Wore Short Pants, to the practical hemp casual wear of SMax Originals and stunning silk scarf designs from Colin Heaney.

Fashion Exposed is Australia’s largest all-encompassing business event for the fashion industry and will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from the 9th – 11th of September, 2007.

The event gives labels from across Australia the chance to promote their trans-seasonal, Autumn/Winter 2008 ranges to more than 12,000 trade fair visitors.

It also provides an unrivaled opportunity for members of the fashion industry to source the very best of fashion and accessories as part of their seasonal buying.

The exhibit brings together over 650 participants from all sectors of the industry including womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, intimate apparel, bridal, eveningwear, swimwear, surfwear, street/urbanwear, accessories, jewellery, manchester, sports/leisurewear and footwear.

The potential for our West Australian designers is enormous; amongst the many visitors will be major buyers and important players within the international fashion scene all looking for the next big trend.

These designers will be a part of the designedge – TCF Australia Showcase Exhibition Stand 5200 proudly supported by the Australian Government under the TCF Small Business Program, Textile Clothing Footwear Resource Centre of Western Australia (TCFWA), Belmont BEC – Small Business Centre Belmont (BEC) and the designedge fashion incubator.

The TCF Australia Business Skills Workshop will also be conducting free fashion industry business workshops at Fashion Exposed each day from 12-3pm. Bookings for the workshops, which will cover areas such as market research, product development, media & PR skills and Ecommerce, are essential, so please contact Carol Hanlon on (08) 9479 3777.
